Obama: ''Africa's diversity should be a source of strength, not a cause for d i v i s i o n.''
Uhhhh, "division"?!!! Is that what State-sponsored torture or execution of gay people represents??? Just a bit of... division??? Why can't he say MURDER! MURDER! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! ESCAPE! GET OUT QUICK, WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME! I just have to ask: what if it was Kenyans they were planning to murder en-masse...?

Has the "fierce advocate" for gay people (Obama's own description) HIMSELF called President Museveni? I'm sorry, I don't like the measured words our administration is using... an "affront"... the Ugandan planners of mass slaughter couldn't be more up-front and clear about their intentions. If EVER anger was justified, it is now, and I wish our government representatives would show their disgust as disgust and anger as anger. Not as diplomacy, because you don't negotiate with terrorists, and these "leaders" have become cruel terrorists to a part of their citizenry who only wants to love each other. Murder in the name of Christ. What Would Jesus Do... I think he would "turn over their tables", if you know what I mean...

There are several ways to stop it: a) Freeze all Ugandan assets in the U.S., b) embargo all Ugandan products and services, c) suspend all talks and monetary aid with Uganda, d) revoke all visas of Ugandans in the U.S. and e) get the E.U. to take the same measures.

[...] D.C. Agenda reports today that Cary Alan Johnson, executive director of the International Gay & ... Johnson said the women’s caucus in the Ugandan parliament is supporting the legislation and opposition from the first lady — as well as President Obama — could influence women’s groups in Uganda to drop their support. “I’m wondering if there is women leaders within the U.S. Congress — and perhaps the first lady herself — might be able to play some role in having discussions about the potential impact of this bill — not just on human rights, but on HIV prevention within the country,” Johnson said.
