		<description>I logged on and read Tim&#039;s comment, which agrees with what I was going to say. I don&#039;t think the President cares anything about gay rights, notwithstanding his campaign promises, and he has used up all of his political capital on health care. Had he been interested in helping gay people, he could have pushed through the repeal of DNDT as well as DOMA.  A year from now, we will be at the mercy of the foolish conservative religious extremists from the South.</description>

		<description>I heard the Secretary of Defense today telling the Senate Armed Services that the military needs another year, and then they might be ready to do away with Don&#039;t Ask Don&#039;t Tell. Of course, this is just a crock of shit delay tactic that shows he and the military don&#039;t want it repealed and are betting on the Dems losing seats in the 2010 election. It all boils down to whether or not the Dems are willing to repeal it this year or not, because it will definitely not happen next year.</description>
