Senate DADT hearing postponed

By on February 9, 2010

The Senate Armed Services Committee has postponed a hearing on “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” that was originally set for Thursday.

Chairman Carl Levin (D-Mich.) had planned for committee members to hear from a panel of expert witnesses on the issue. The list of witnesses hadn’t been announced prior to the postponement of the hearing.

The cancelation notice for the hearing doesn’t give a date for when the testimony will be rescheduled.

The Senate Armed Services Committee has canceled or postponed a number of hearings this week on issues other than “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” D.C. is facing record snowstorms inhibiting much of the work of the federal government.
