		<description>1. &quot;@Garcia said passage of immigration reform would allow LGBT immigrants — even without the passage of UAFA — to remain in the U.S. if they don’t have a partner to sponsor them for residency.&quot;

This statement is misleading - even under immigration reform if it excludes UAFA bi national same sex spouses will NOT be able to sponsor for green card.

2. 36,000 is a number from 2000 census that is 10 years old. There was no social media at the time - recent formula show number currently exceed 100,000 - at least- and the purpose of minimizing the number in my opinion is not helpful. Others may disagree- based on fear of exclusion based on an anti immigration argument. The negative of such argument is that the low numbers renders our cause minimal.

3. Ralls fails to mention the known facts That until we at Lezgetreal exposed Schumer&#039;s exclusion of UAFA, he knew it was not going to be included. But now that thanks to our article, such a noise was made from all corners, there is glimmer of hope.

In a recent email to New York constituents, Schumer mentioned that he did not think piecemeal legislation would work - suggesting UAFA was dead as a stand-alone. This happened because of the strategy of pushing for inclusion in CIR, - however the good news is that this, if taken in the context of a series of statements by Schumer, means that Schumer MUST include UAFA in CIR, because he has painted himself into that corner.
