Consider, if you will, which senators voted for this amendment. I’ll cite but two, both Republicans: John McCain, a man opposed to dismantling DADT and probably any and all advances in gay rights, and Scott Brown who currently (and falsely claims) that Rachel Maddow is running against him for re-election.
