Obama and the Dems in Congress just keep looking for bogus reasons to delay and or avois voting on DADT, but it doesn’t stop there, they are also avoiding any votes on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, the Domestic Partnership Benefits & Obligations Act, the Student Non-Discrimination Act, and the Uniting American Familes Act just to mention a few. They tell us, oh we can’t vote on this one right now, but we will have a vote on that one soon, and when the time comes they tell us they can’t vote on that either, but will vote on the other bill or bills soon, which of course they also fail to vote on. Then when we reach a point where the elections are at hand they say, sorry but we can’t vote on anything controversial this close to an election, but we will get to it next year, despite wasting years of time already. In the end, they don’t give us anything, but they still get our money, support and votes. Well they have played me and my partner for the last time. Until they pass some of our legislation, I say we tell them we can’t get around to sending them contributions right now, or doing volunteer work, or voting for them because we have other priorities or can’t support them this close to an election. Perhaps we should say, maybe next year, unless anything else comes up or support for them seems controversial. Maybe the Dems do need a big defeat to wake them up to the fact that they ran on a campaign of chnage that they have not delivered. Another option might involve running openly gay candidates against the sellout Dems in primaries. The Dems need to learn that there are consequences when you lie to the LGBT Community.

What I don’t get is do they think they’ll get more support after the study? Republican’s don’t want it. This is SO ridiculous
If it’s shot down in 2010 it’s not going to get easier on 2011. We really as a community need to rethink a lot of Sh–. No more money, no more knocking on doors, phone banks Nothing. If this gets passed the President deserves NO credit for it. What a joke he is around this. If HRC thanks him Once I’m done with HRC.

Why poll the rank and file on this issue? Were they polled before we got into Iraq and Afghanistan? Are they polled on withdrawal timetables?

If the rank and file isn’t being polled on the really important issues, why waste money and time polling them on the trivial ones?

When discussing DADT with politicians don’t use DADT use “fire gay people for being outed.”

As an example, Senator Nelson wants to continue firing gay people for being outed, until Secretary Gates decides if he wants to stop firing gay people for being outed.

Well, you know, it’s going to be a difficult election year and just a few months delay…

I’d go just a bit further than Bill Monroe. I might just find Republican candidates who have a chance to knock off a flannel mouth Dummycrat and send him some money.

And please spare me the BS that the Republicans won’t work for us. Tell me just what great things the Dummycrats have done for me. If I’m going to be a second or third class citizen in the nation I’ve supported including military service, Democrats had better understand that Republicans won’t be any worse so I don’t give a damn if Democrats wind up as second class as well.

There should be no hysterics. No wild carrying on in the streets. No demonstrations in Washington, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, New Orleans, Ft. Lauderdale, Boston, Seattle, or anywhere else. But, the message should be delivered quietly but very clearly to every Democratic Party official at each governmental level that if they expect any gay or Lesbian money or votes come November, DADT had better be in the dust bin of history by that time.
