God does not speak in terms of earthquakes, hurricanes, lightning strikes, or any other weather phenomena. Such an idea brings to mind the ridiculous assertions of the religious fanatics such as Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, and the Redneck Baptists in the South. The Bible says that the rain falls on the just as well as the unjust. Earthquakes are a natural consequence of adjusting the stresses in the earth's crust, and we should be grateful that it didn't cause any greater problems.
That being said, I found the article very positive in that it points out things we as a community need to be aware of to protect the progress that has been made so far by the current administration. It would be a shame to see everything evaporate if a new regime is elected in November.
