White House responds to Prop 8 court ruling

The White House on Wednesday issued the following statement in response to U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker’s decision that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional:

“The president has spoken out in opposition to Proposition 8 because it is divisive and discriminatory.  He will continue to promote equality for LGBT Americans.”

    This is completely misleading. Obama is actually making self-contradictory statements that he supports equality but opposes marriage equality.
