		<description><![CDATA[Erwin, I have appreciated your writing for a long time.  I am the grandson of an immigrant and grew up in an immigrant neighborhood.  I spoke another language before I learned English.  My aunt who is now 90 has spoken to me recently about her tremendous concerns regarding the narrow-minded and mean-spiritedness of the country.  And much of this lays front-and-center at the feet of the GOP and the Tea Party.  This is very shameful and a repudiation of what this country has stood for and what has made it great.  “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free.” I think I read that somewhere . . .]]></description>
