As stated in the story all fellow Police offers a Judge and his department all back up his bullshit story, Pigs stick with pigs, no department will ever admit to wrong doing unless the evidence is clean cut, Police departments don’t like it when they get caught with their pants down. There are some really good cops out there but sadly most of them are just plain old scum.

After doing much research and reading about this incident, it sounds to me like the actions of the officer were justified. Big crowd of people, an overly aggressive dog, blood, another dog badly injured, the pit bull continued to try and bite the officer. The officer's first responsiblity is to protect the people. If that dog would have gotten loose and mauled some child then you people would be screaming that he should have shot the dog. Good job Officer Fike.

Lynette – who needs the cops? If we could freely exercise our 2A we would be free to police ourselves as we should. Cops are not hired to "Serve and Protect". They show up after a crime is committed, process crime scenes and assist the DA in assembling a case to take to trial. Most of the time they are shown in a light such as this because they think they are Matt Dillon. Too bad we can't have a show down with them – one at a time. Nope, they are the muscle of organized crime and make bad public appearances.
