"Change is hard, and its enemies are many. What are you doing to advance it?"
"Cursing Obama and the Democrats."
"Gee, that's a big help."
"I'd rather have homophobes in charge than vote for these lame Democrats."
"Be careful what you ask for."

Tim hit the nail right on the head. This administration and congress have taken the LGBT completely for granted, AGAIN. While I detest the gop, my family and I will NOT be voting for the democrats in November. Better the devil we know than the backstabbing democrats.

Obama has been worthless when it comes to support for LGBT issues, so much for being our fierce advocate. Granted the Republicans are completely against us and will be much worse, but lets face it, Obama and the Dems in Congress have not kept their promises to the LGBT community. I want to know when they are going to schedule a floor vote on the Domestic Partnership Benefits & Obligations Act, which passed out of committees in the House & Senate more than 9 months ago. ENDA is still languishing in committee and doesn't appear likely to see any action in the two years since the Dems and Obama have had the chance to pass it. This is why the LGBT community isn't feeling very enthusiastic about voting for or supporting the Dems in the upcoming election. I certainly wouldn't vote for the Grand Old Homophobic Party, but it is difficult to support the Dems who keep throwing us under the bus.
