He’s a disgusting hypocrite. One of his outspoken defenders once lived in DC and is definitely gay. The only evidence that Bishop Long is not gay is that horrible, lace front Jherri Curl toupe’. No queen would ever be seen in such a get up!!

Me thinks he doth protest too much.

Also if Long did email photos of himself in spandex to the boys, if he bought them expensive cars and jewelry, if he took them on lavish trips, and all with Church money, then this can be proven in a court of law, and if three testify to sexual acts with Long, then the church will either acknowledge that this has indeed happened, or they will stay in denial.

As far as Gays are concerned, this is Exactly Like the Renkers/Rentboy case in so much as Renkers did not only participate in a Gay sexual affair, but that he had testified against the Rights of Gays as an Expert, and he had participated in many other anti-Gay activities and organizations working against Gays.

When will religious folk come to the realization that Denying one’s sexuality will only eventually rezult in Pain for someone when it finally comes out. The opressors are as much a part of the overall societal problem as are the agresssors.
