I really missed the point. Its thiss old str8 guys opinion that Marriage is not the #1 issue, it is being out. And I think I have some feel for the horrors involved in this decision when you live under a theocratic monstrosity here.

But bottom line is it is hard to hate someone you know and respect. And easy when they are invisible. Part of hitlers rational for putting the Jews into a physical ghetto, so he could then demonize them.

Note how Cox and Henderson stated........

"What’s been most surprising about the entire journey, the couple acknowledged, is the number of allies they gained who hadn’t always been supportive of gay marriage. “A lot of that had to do with stepping up to the plate and being so public about [being gay],” Henderson said, which came with the territory of the contest.
endquote

Being out is so important, because there are so many supporters of gay people. who are also in a sense in the closet.

Only the church of Adoph Hitler and trhe churches of slavery, the kkk, and segregation could have come up with a monster like the closet. Which BTW, is exactly what DADT is also.

Have I got you fired up to support various gay political and educational groups?

HOpe so.

Wow. I was dissapointed that a gay acquaintance and his partner didn't quite make the finals in the Crate and Barrel contest for a $100000 wedding. I tried to get a couple of the big gay equality groups to support him, but they were tied up in legal matters.

Bottom line - Buy from crate and barrel. To hell with Best Buy (unless you like paying 2x to 10x what you can buy much of what they sell, by going online and searching.
