I firmly encourage all gay and lesbian service men and women to keep their heads down during the political debate on their status. Once that debate is over, they will have to reconsider their options. If this government or any other maintains the horrendous policy, I would encourage all gay and lesbian service men and women to stand up honestly and demand their discharges under the law. This nation will have demonstrated that it is no longer worth defending.

DADT affects all gay people because it enshrines the prejudice used to deny legal and social equality in other areas as well. As long as the law of the land says gay people must be punished simply for being gay, we will continue to be fired, bullied, beaten, tortured, imprisoned, and killed. Awesome all the progress and attention ending the ban in the military is getting these days! Now let me ask the Dems, and HRC where the hell is ENDA? We’re evidently not looking for Waldo anymore as ENDA has been AWOL way to long!!! They voted on the bill in Congress, ENDA was then supposed to get it’s shot. Where is it?? Has everyone forgotten and abandoned it???? ENDA’s becoming law by far benefits more people in our community than ending the military ban ever will!!! WAKE UP!
