Harry Reid has been a bumbling incompetent, and ironically, he will be keeping his job as majority leader; whereas Speaker Nancy Pelosi who has actually been much more effective and accomplished a lot more will be losing her job. What a mess. As for GetEQUAL, I understand and share their frustration with the relative lack of progress in moving our issues forward, but I seriously doubt these clowns are paying attention. You might think that after the Dems took such a beating in the last election they would have learned their lesson, but clearly they are misinterpreting the reasons for their defeat. The Dems lost because they abandoned their Progressive agenda in favor of compromise with the rotten GOP who see compromise as the Dems giving in to all of their demands with no cooperation on the other side. If the Dems had stuck to their promises, (Such as passing ENDA, passing the Domestic Partnership Benefits & Obligations Act, Repealing DADT and Repealing DOMA) they wouldn’t have seen such a dismal turnout among Progressives. Its hard to be energized when you are seeing them abandon or ignore your most important issues.

Thank g-d there is someone fighting for our rights. The more in your face, the better. His staff was flustered because they’re not used to people holding them accountable like this – it’s a whole new ball game now, Sen. Reid. If DADT repeal doesn’t pass, I hope they protest outside your home while you’re eating your Thanksgiving turkey dinner.

The fact remains that the Democratic Party was in COMPLETE CONTROL of our government for two years – House, Senate and President – and that is not enough to even begin to realize complete equality under the law, for whatever reasons (many I’m sure). I’m not asking for something radical, unless actually applying the ideas of our Declaration of Independence and of our Constitution is considered radical. But that’s what America is supposed to be about: radical for freedom and equality. Unless it’s all just BS. Is it, Reid? What about you, McCain? BS? Maybe it is…

McGehee is an ignorant ass-hole. These childish stunts don’t accomplish anything. Of course Reid’s staff was upset – they’re used to deal with rational adults.

GetEQUAL hasn’t put any pressure on anyone – they’ve just pissed a few people off and made us look stupid.
