You know I really do hate the Republicans. This most recent act of blocking all work on all bills so they can give 700 billion dollars of tax cuts to the rich is just the latest of their crimes. DADT must be passed now, and if the damn greedy hate mongering Republicans block us we need to hold their feet to the fire and make sure they get bounced out of office in 2012. As for Obama and the Democratic leadership, I blame them for not taking up Pro-LGBT bills months ago when there was time to pass them. It never should have been put off till the last minute, and frankly the Dems should have pushed our bills through in the first year instead of yapping about healthcare and trying to get the GOP to work with them.

Why is anyone surprised? The GOP NEVER has any serious intention to give ending the ban a fair up and down vote....They are delaying deliberately so that the bill can be buried without action again! They don't want to end the ban and will do everything possible to keep it in place! Wake up stupid!

Tax cuts for the Rich don't create jobs. They are in place now, yet we have 9% unemployment and the prediction is we still will have it all next year! Those tax cuts are used to fund GOP candidates running for office. Any extension of them will be used as a war chest to help a GOP Presidential candidate in 2012.

THIS is what Republicans stand for. This situation is what the Tea Party has created.

Let the standoff begin. Let the Republicans hold up war funding. Tell Obama not to back down. The Bush Tax Cuts were ORIGINALLY disproportionately advantageous fot the Rich. This is fact. The Rich are currently paying lesser taxes than the middle and lower classes and THIS is what the republicand claim as their Most Important Issue.

Republican Senators vote against the will of the American Peoiple. Remember this.

Email the Senate and tell them that we will Vote Them Out in the next election!

Fund-raising appeals suggesting 'we were so close" to follow.

The willingness of so-called moderate Republican senators to go along with these cynical procedural maneuvers gives the lie to any notion that they put the country's interests ahead of partisan interests. How in the world can the defense authorization bill be seen as a secondary priority? The GOP's claims to be more concerned about jobs and the deficit are nothing but spin, since their tax proposal is not paid for and they blocked the stimulus bill until substantial amounts of more stimulative infrastructure spending were replaced with tax cuts--then they had the gall to claim that the result was not stimulative enough. If they don't want to waste the Senate's precious time, why are they being so relentlessly obstructionist? They love to lecture us about "what the American people want," while in fact a substantial majority supports DADT repeal and opposes extending tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. I wish to God the President would stop the bipartisan dance and start fighting back.
