Having been rejected by the voters nationally, the Demwits had to do something they could claim as a success. Something they could have done a decade ago.

DADT could have been done at any time in the past 2 years or under President Clinton. But without that issue it would be harder to milk gay donors for dollars for the DNC.

It was passed now only so Obama, presiding over double digit unemployment he has helped create and facing the loss of Congress and the loss of the Senate in 2012, could claim that he achieved something.

Obama said that Repeal would happen "This Year", end quote.

For the Congress to pass Tax Cuts for the Rich, the top 2% of the nation, and to pass Unemployment Compensation, (saying "look what we accomplished" to the American People), but to then Once Again leaving the Gay Minority out in the cold, would clearly demonstrate their lack of moralityand in courage in legislating for All People.

It will THEN be time to end all lobbying efforts/donations/contributions and to redirect those contributions toward our Real Advocates in their Litigation Efforts such as the ACLU, Lambda Legal, etc. as Rights shall clearly only be gained via the Court Systems. Time is up! We have no political voice.

Make SURE Senators know that we will remember them at election time.

It's just grandstanding by Democrats and the LGBT-advocacy industry. We don't have 60 votes. We never have.

Soon, both Democrats and LGBT non-profits will be claiming "we were so close" and "please send more money." We should NOT support them without a real, sustainable strategy to win, not simply keep them employed. For most of our non-profits, their pay checks are more important than our equality. That's why they are engaged in the "charade" about DADT repeal.
