This hearing makes a mockery of the federal judiciary,” said Brian Brown, president of the National Organization for Marriage. “Citizens are entitled to a guarantee of impartiality from their judiciary,”

I'm glad these a-holes said that because we can argue the same when it goes before the Supreme Court and demand that Anton Scalia be recused from the case, too! He has made it very clear he opposes gay marriage and has spoken around the country saying so! At the same time, Scalia once said that without Sodomy laws there was no rational legal reason to deny same-sex marriage!

The argument against the procreation defense fails to point out that marriage cannot be specifically about procreation otherwise the infertile heterosexual couples that get married would have no rational basis to be legally married!

Brian Brown will complain about Judge Reinhardt because of his Wife's affiliations, but we can know that Mr. brown will have no quams whatsoever about the Series of speeches that Supreme Court Justice Antonin G. Scalia has been making, clarifying his firm position that the Constitution of the United states Does Not protect the Rights of Gays to Marry (as it does Straight Citizens, which has been upheld by the Court on multiple occasions).

Having watched the entire Appeals Process, the moment that the question was posed, "Well, where is The Clerk?", I was amazed at the nerve of Mr Tyler. One can only presume that he is being paid very well in order to take on the shame of standing there, televised. He must have known,...or he should have,...and he does now!

Is there any real concensus in Imperial County to fight this fight, or is this the foolishness of a few who managed to convince the Deputy Clerk to go on record with this initiative?

We have State-Wide elected officials, elected by Californians, to speak for Californians. Could just ANY locally employed Deputy Clerk speak for the entire state in Any Litigation? I hope not, but we will soon see if that door is left open.

As for the Merits, the question, when asked, "If the state of California already affords to Gays all of the Rights and responsibilities of Marriage Except the Word, then what is the "Rational Basis" for witholding the Word (Marriage)?" *A hush fell over the crowd*.

This will be a high hurdle for the Appellants, IMHGO.
