I am still confused. If they bring it up for a cloture vote today and it fails, does that mean it is done for good, or do we have another chance after they pass the tax cuts?

Letter to my Senator:

Dear Senator ____________,

I am increasingly concerned that Senators are not paying attention to that which is truly the Will of the American People.

All polls show that Americans do not want Tax Cuts for Millionaires, and a majority of Americans want DADT Repeal, and yet the Senate seems intent upon going their own way on these issues, and in reverse order of priorty.

Millionaire handouts are LAST on the priority list of any American, yet Senators deem this as #1 on the list. They are dead wrong, this is not fiscally responsible, and those voting in this manner, or holding out and letting the clock run out on DADT Repeal, will be voted out of office in the next election, I regretfully assure you.

We will not forget.

Please consider your votes carefully.

Call your senators at 202-224-3121 and urge them to vote for the defense bill and for repealing don’t ask, don’t tell this year. Spread the word to 10 friends to do the same. Getting senators hearing from their constituents over the next 24 hours (or until it’s done), in favor of DADT repeal THIS YEAR, is the most important thing we can do to make sure it happens.

It ain’t happening. Obama is a silent homophobe who will punt on this issue proclaiming once again “I WILL END DADT”, but will not do it. The DINOs had 2 full years, a supermajority, public and military approval (leadership and rank and file), and even federal judge support for it.

All Obama had to do was NOTHING. DADT would have died with the federal order.

Instead he got his justice department to appeal announcing he’ll do it legislatively.

He is a hypocrite
