Mr. Cooper is consistently clueless, but we applaud Mr. Nicholson criticizing fellow Republicans. However, if he would stop being a part of the problem rather than a part of the solution to the scenario which makes POSSIBLE such Congressional grandstanding by stopping acting like a paid shill for the alleged "good guys" in the Pentagon, stop acting as if dragging out actual lifting of the ban until what now looks like October is acceptable, and, instead, also called bull on that needless delay as the Palm Center did Iin these pages IN JANUARY, and even the timid SLDN finally has, then we could take him seriously again.

If he and his organization had led demands that the ban be lifted by the earliest date permitted by the bill's language—February 22nd—no hearing Friday on the ""Review of the Implementation Plans for Repeal," "no more [wasted] time or taxpayer money" would be possible. In the vacuum left by his and others in Gay, Inc.'s, lack of leadership and courage, we could see more demagogic hearings meant simply to stir up the demagogues homophobic base in May, June, July, August, September, and October.

As I often say, I'm not surprised when rabid dogs take every opportunity to do what rabid dogs do. It's the culpability from those supposedly on OUR side in unintentionally aiding and abetting them that should be our focus.

Maj. Gen. Dennis Laich (Ret), SLDN MIlitary Advisory Board, "Stars & Stripes," March 25, 2011: "I am embarrassed,.....that it would take a military that can go halfway around the world to unseat a dictator in 30 days more than six months to communicate such a simple set of fundamental moral principles to its force is unacceptable and unnecessary."
