		<description><![CDATA[One correction for the record: Marion Barry got his negative score (minus 15) the first time he ran for School Board, in 1971, not when he first ran for mayor in 1978.  By &#039;78, he had long since reinvented himself as one of our community&#039;s strongest advocates, and he earned a very high rating.  His upset victory over incumbent Mayor Walter Washington was attributed in large part to our community&#039;s enthusiastic support.]]></description>
