Thank you to Furmansky for putting this out there. Many are afraid to tell the truth about Senator Frosh and others out of fear that they will retaliate. But there is already enough fear to go around, especially among those who so desperately need the protections.

It is unfortunate that when Mr. Furmansky clearly lays out the huge challenge to advancing protections, the incredible obstacles that the community must overcome AND the valiant efforts of Equality Maryland over the years to do so that you just spew out more of the same. EQMD made it very clear that the decision to remove public accommodations was NOT theirs. Delegate Pena-Melnyk emphasized that she did so only because of the lack of support and in hope of at least getting some of the important protections. After all, ENDA is jobs only and we herald it as a community. You seem to have a lot to say, but what are you actually doing???

Are you a talking points automoton and a clueless one at that? The article had nothing to do with your comment, nor is it relevant since the bill failed for years WITH public accommodations included. You can't see the forest through the trees.

It is unfortunate that EQMD choose to back a flawed and incomplete 2011 bill which lacked protections for the use of public accommodations. This failure split the support from the trans community.
