Schaefer had a live-in “girl friend,” so I doubt he was gay. And even if he or she was gay, why must they follow “our” rules as to how to behave? I thought we were seeking freedom to be who we are and do what we want in our lives, not follow a certain set of rules on one side or the other.

Schaefer had a live-in “female friend,” so him being a homosexual is pretty unlikely. And why must we demand that anyone who is gay follow “our program” of what someone who’s gay must do? I thought we all wanted the freedom to be who we are for our own reasons? Is it any wonder several people won’t come out for fear of losing a career or loved ones?
