Porn star’s story explored in new play

The play “Confessions of a Homo Thug Porn Star,” based on the life of gay porn actor Tiger Tyson, will be performed Sunday at 4 p.m. at Lace (2214 Rhode Island Ave., N.E.). Doors open at 3:30. Tickets are $20 and will be available at the door.
This is author James Earl Hardy’s first play. He was struck by Tyson’s story during an interview and calls it a classic “rags-to-riches, American dream come true.” Tyson, who’s bi, dropped out of school and did jail time before delving into porn, where he’s become a sensation.
Tyson plans to attend this weekend’s performance and sign autographs. A question/answer session will be held after the performance, which stars gay actor Johnathan Cedano as Tyson.
A portion of the proceeds go to Al Sura, an HIV charity.
