‘Carmen’ to close season

The gay-helmed Washington Ballet is closing its 210-2011 season with “Carmen,” opening Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Harman Center for the Arts (610 F St., N.W.).

The program will also feature the premiere of Associate Artistic Director David Palmer’s “Passing Through” and Edwaard Liang’s “As Above, So Below.”

The show runs through May 22. Tickets range from $20 to $87 and can be purchased online at washingtonballet.org.
