Great job reporting. Thank you for some insight on the current post DADT training.

Being a Vietnam Vet and having served as a field medical corpsman in '67, I had no doubt that the Marines could step up to the plate. It was not a issue with my comrades then when I served proudly and openly. I am sure that it will not be a issue now.

Thank you General Amos for your profound leadership.

Too bad some members Congress do not take a lesson from the Marine Corp. and treat all citizens that they represent with Dignity and Respect.

Great reporting! Thanks for enduring the heat. It was worth it to produce this excellent article.

The paragraph that starts "That's the question . . ." is confusing. Did he mean "That's the answer . . ."? And how did they get onto the topic of an MEO complaint, when the hypothetical didn't involve any misconduct?

It's too bad that some of the discriminatory regulations required by DOMA will remain. But the Marines have to follow the law and can hardly be blamed for it. It sounds like they are implementing it efficiently and in good faith. I wonder what happens if a gay partner of a Marine goes to the PX to buy a Coke for the Marine's kid, and then tries to buy a soda for himself. Does the PX make an inquiry to determine who is going to drink what, and then only ring up the Coke?
