As a choral singer (tenor) and raised by a jazz fanatic and an opera nut, I can state with no equivocations this is one of the best choruses that I have been privileged to hear. Each note is clear, on pitch, and sung with all the feeling needed for that particular composition. The timing is excellent, you can set your watches by the entrances of each section/soloist. Their GenOut program which reaches out to LGBTQ kids in high schools is a wonderful way of saying to gay and straight kids that it definitely gets better and that they will find their special place in this world. Congratulations, Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC!!! I cannot wait to see and hear what the next thirty years will bring.
