There didn’t seem to be any second thought to just dropping whatever you had – glass, plastic, paper, food, ornaments, and on and on – in front of the Capitol in the seat of government of the US. Slogging through the mess afterwards left me with just the opposite impression – Pride-goers obviously didn’t give a rat’s patoot about how they left the venue. To me, that wasn’t Pride demonstrated; to the contrary, it was Contempt for a country in which we really do have it so much better than so many around the world. By our actions, we really didn’t give a crap how others perceived us, did we? Yet, we want to be treated equally and without prejudice. Do our actions really warrant that favorable treatment?
