Chris Johnson is a phony and a Obama hater this woman has said since 2008 she doesn’t support Marriage Equality and that it should be left to the states. But this seems to be a moot point for some of you to brush her off as well she should support it all in a timid voice. But that Black guy just angers all of you to call him all sorts of negative names.Really? Please like I have always said sadly in this community RACE MATTERS when it comes to how angry you can become when certain people who don’t agree with us as a community! SO SAD!

Great suggestion, Peter. I’m sure the president appreciates Hillary’s domestic political savvy, as well.

She was enormously popular with upstate Republicans as Senator. That there is now growing Republican support for marriage equality, as highlighted in Albany Friday, adds that much more cred to Hillary Clinton in the capacity you suggest.

Neither Hillary Clinton or President Obama currently support same-sex marriage. One assumption has been that it was a political issue that could “sink their ship”. New York state has proven that this isn’t a political hot-potato but, rather, as Ms. Clinton so eloquently states, a human rights issue.

To declare their belief in full equality but deny the right to same-sex marriage is an absolute parallel to freeing the slaves but denying them the right to marry or retain “family” with their offspring.

Full equality has no exceptions.

It is time for Hillary Clinton to come out and support marriage-equality and to join with other progressive and right minded individuals including former President Bill Clinton who now supports same-sex marriage. She was a member of the Foundry Methodist Church, one of the most welcoming religious institutions in the District, whose Minister and congregation is now fighting to see that all Methodist churches can marry same-sex partners.

It would be great if Secretary Clinton were to chat with President Obama and encourage him to evolve fully by saying that she is prepared to do so as well. The time is now for leadership and Secretary Clinton has always been a leader.
