		<description><![CDATA[Laurelboy2, I don&#039;t think that Mr. Cotter is advocating a primary challenge.  Rather, he&#039;s doing what most pragmatic liberals would suggest which is keeping the incumbent president honest to a base he seems to increasingly take for granted.  A primary challenge is the perfect way to undermine his reelection, which especially in regards to today&#039;s horrid job numbers is far from certain, and while President Obama must not be expected to swing as far to the left as his netroots base, he must do more than tacitly claim to the be the lesser of two evils.  The article was hardly a slog, by the way.]]></description>
