Visibility is important – it is the reason why, here in Boston, we have formed a coalition of all the organizations who are for seniors here in Boston, the LGBT Senior Pride Coalition. We march and ride (two trolley’s sponsored by the Mayor of Boston) in a substantial group. The response of the people watching the parade is wonderfully heartening.

I disagree with your hypothesis. When I was in my 20s I had no problem attracting and picking up men of all ages. Now that I’m 53, I’m amazed at how much attention I garner from youngins. I have more fun now than I did 30 years ago…
