It didn’t take long for them to wear the treads off that word and it never got traction. One time I even thanked a guy for calling me that. I said I had had such a bad day, that it worked to be a compliment. That really messed up his head and he never called me a name after that. They might as well have called me a splork. I don’t mind if anyone calls me an F as long as they aren’t wielding a tire iron and shouting it from across the street. In that context, I’d mind even if they called me by name. For that reason, I thought the joke was in poor taste, but, in a cringeworthy way, funny.
