As far as the connection to the reprehensible policies of the right-wing, you certainly have a point. And these guys sound like a Koch-funded front for propaganda pushing Uncle-Tom style. However, the fairy dust protest was just stupid.

It's time for activists and activism to grow up and mature. It's not 1972 anymore, and Corporania is paying hardball with people's lives. A lot can be learned from the black civil rights movements of the 50s-60s, they dressed and behaved as the people they should be respected for, not parade like Mistrel parodies of cartoon characters.

My take: get the so-called 'community' out of the bars, off of parade floats and away from Lady Gaga records long enough for some serious education, outreach, volunteering and political activism. If any of this includes parodies, so be it - make them GOOD. There's too much at stake, and if someone doesn't get serious, the world-at-large will play right into the hands of right-wing bigots and their agendas. This is well documented historically, in Nazi Germany for one.
