The Red Hot Chilli Peppers were gay friendly and starred in the ground breaking &quot;My Own Private Idaho&quot; in 1991. Bob Mould had a band called Sugar which was big on campuses. In addition, Morrissey put out his best stuff in the early 90&#039;s. A song like &quot;Seasick, yet still docked&quot; really would speak to a gay kid. 

Also, Rufus Wainwright&#039;s first came out in 1998 and was all over TV in that Gap ad.]]></description>
