Police Log: October 7
The following incidents were investigated by the D.C. Police Gay & Lesbian Liaison Unit.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a death that reportedly occurred in the early morning hours of Oct. 2 at 1824 Half St., S.W. The decedent in this case may be a member of the LGBT community. The death is being investigated by MPD’s Homicide Branch and the cause of death is undetermined.
On Sept. 30, in the 3100 block of Eads St., S.E., two defendants were involved in a verbal argument that became physical. Both defendants assaulted each other. One of the men produced a box cutter, and cut the other man. Both were arrested and provided with medical attention.
On Sept. 29 in the evening hours, while in the 2600 block of Wad Rd., S.E., a man reported that he had been stabbed by his boyfriend. The suspect fled the scene. The victim received medical treatment for his injuries.
On Sept. 27, in the 300 block of Ridge St., S.E., during the late evening hours, a complainant called MPD to report a family disturbance. No criminal activity was reported and the complainant was provided information about local resource agencies.
