Several big concerts slated for coming days

There are a variety of concerts coming up this week.
First up is Loretta Lynn with Southern Culture on the Skids on Saturday at 9:30 Club (815 V St., N.W.). Tickets are $55. This is a rescheduled performance and all tickets for the March 17 show will be honored. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Cyndi Lauper will also be at 9:30 with Dr. John as part of her “From Memphis to Mardis Gras Tour.” Tickets are $45 and doors open at 7 p.m.
Young@Heart, a group of singers who are 80 or older, including one gay member, will be performing Thursday at Warner Theatre (513 13th St., N.W.) from 8 to 10 p.m. Tickets range from $30 to $100 and can be purchased online at youngatheartdc.eventbrite.com.

And recently married out country star Chely Wright, will be performing at Birchmere (3701 Mt. Vernon Ave.) in Alexandria on Thursday with special guest Lucy Wainwright Roche at 7:30 p.m.
If the concert isn’t enough, the documentary, “Wish Me Away,” which tells Wright’s coming out story through interviews, video diary entries, music videos and more, will be screened at the Lisner Auditorium (730 21st St., N.W.) on Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. as part of this year’s Reel Affirmations festival.
Tickets to her concert are $29.50 and can be purchased online at birchmere.com. Tickets to the festival screening are $12 and can be purchased at reelaffirmations.org.
