I am okay with the DOMA as long as the government removes all favoritism towards married couples. Think about it, marriage is a religious rite so if your religion allows same-sex marriage fine, if not then ok. That is your religious freedom. On that note, NO federal recognition should be made for these religious habits. If the government wants to maintain "family" benefits than that should conform to legal documentation that identifies commitment and legal obligation, not a marriage certificate.

I'm glad to see them re-introduce the Domestic Partnership Benefits & Obligations Act again. Unfortunately, I don't think they have a chance of getting it past the GOP controlled House, and of course the Dems dropped the ball by not passing DPBO or ENDA during Obama's first 2 years when they had a clear majority in the Senate & House. I am all in favor of repealing DOMA and advancing same-sex marriage rights, but I really think they need to focus on passing DPBO and ENDA first, then move on to marriage equality.

Why don't they focus their efforts on passing ENDA, which is supported by 80 percent of the American people?
