Why are Tom Tunney and Greg Harris “openly gay?” I thought the gay press did away with “openly” a long time ago. Nothing to be “open” or “closed” about. Nothing to be ashamed of. Tom Tunney and Greg Harris are gay. Period. The end.

Given the racial segregation among gay men and women and the rampid racism and internal homophobis within the community, the comparisons are accurate.

Sigh…. I will agree that the Cardinal had a poor choice of words, but lets be CLEAR and HONEST about a few things.

The Cardinal did NOT compare LGBTQ organizers to the KKK, he stayed he doesn’t want the the movement and processions to MORHPH into what the KKK has done. So, I think its incumbent on everyone to be honest about that.

Also, the Cardinal did not go out of his way to make this statement. He didn’t call for a Press Conference, he didn’t organize a rally or protest. Fox News INTERVIEWED HIM. He wasn’t actively attempting to go attack people, he was answering questions. The media has a huge hand in framing these things….

Since the majority of the gay population is segregated along racial lines, is this comment really shocking? Lets be realistic, the gay community is not the harmonious community it would like to portray to the hetero-public. Frankly, its spot on!!!

Apparently drawing the parallel with the Klan is how the Church says, “Thank You”.
