Painter Bernardo Siles, a longtime D.C. gay resident, recently switched careers from being an architect at various local firms to being a painter.

Siles is having his first solo exhibit at Gallery plan b (1530 14th St., N.W.), with an opening reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. His work will be on display through Feb. 26.
