Thank you very much for being so supportive my angel. I will try to visit you soon. However, I must admit, I'm a little hesitate to return to Illinois because all of the corrupt politics there. When I was terminated from jcpenney for being transgender in 2009, I tried to take legal action against them. But, I was not successful. No attorneys in Illinois would defend me. I went to EEOC and Illinois Human Rights Department in Chicago to file charges on my own, but I was ridiculed by both agencies throughout the whole process. My witnesses and I both received threats from jcpenney about how "god's law will prevail". I can not believe Ellen Degeneres, a member of the LGBT community, is supporting them.

An Executive Order that provides only for reinstatement and back pay is just not enough to protect LGBT workers. Until ENDA is enacted into law, employers are still free to discriminate against LGBT employees without consequences. If ENDA is enacted, compensatory and punitive damages will be available for discriminatees, which will give them the same rights as members of other protected classes who are covered under Title VII. Getting ENDA passed should be our top legislative priority, especially since it is supported by nearly 90 percent of the American public.
