@MaplewoodSteve – I agree, Obama is far better than Bush, and I do think a candidate such as Gingrich or Santorum would put back any progress we’ve made in recent years. We cannot afford to let them or any other Republican candidate into the White House in November.

I am hopeful that Obama will step up and say that he endorses same-sex marriage. I completely understand how most of us are becoming impatient with the “evolving” he needs to do. I do wonder how much of what seems to be inaction on his part will turn out to be clever maneuvering when the time comes to really show his cards. We’ll see!

@Cynical voter — since you asked… YES, I think Obama will evolve; and though you did not ask, NO, I don’t think any of the Republican candidates will evolve. The Obama years may not have been perfect, but they have been far superior to the Bush years, and none of the current Republican candidates would be better than the Bush years. Most would be worse. That is what matters in the 2012 elections.

This is pathetic. Obama gives just enough lip service to get LGBT cash and votes. Do you really think he will “evolve?”
