I hope that the initaitive fails again by a vote or two so we can entertain ourselves with this drama again next year!! And Martin O’M will be further disinterested in local issues since he already has his eyes on the national polical scene – the hypocrite he is. Remember how he made such a splash in endorsing Hillary C in 2008?? Now, he’s like Obama’s lap dog… What a shameless, tax-raising, egocentric, looney-left person.

I don’t think the supporters of marriage equality should have accepted the extention amendment, and I doubt it changed anyone’s vote either way. It was just another concession to a group of bigots who don’t want us to ever have equality. Its time to vote out all the anti-gay Democrats and Republicans who continue to oppose equality and replace them with solid Progressive LGBT supportive Democrats who would do the right thing.

What’s with the latest cave in by the supporters of marriage equality? Never enough votes! I swear that no one will do whats right without having to be bribed or coaxed into it. The republicans see this as an opportunity to get as much out of it as they can. What a sorry state of affairs in Annapolis.

When will they pass legislation to revoke the tax-exempt status of Churches that actively work against same-sex marriage? They’re classic political organizations hiding behind a church. Enough already! Catholics, Baptists, Mormons, any Evangelical church and all the rest of the bigots campaigning against same-sex marriage. There are no liberal pols in Annapolis with the cojones to stand up for themselves or the L.G.B.T. community in Maryland!~ We need some ultra-radical members of our community to step up and go I.R.A. on these ultra-conservatives. Booom!!!!!

Don’t understand the Jan 1st thing. The law will be on hold just like The Dream Act was put on hold after enough signatures were gathered for the referendum. Nobody can get married until it is voted on.

It should be December 1, 2012, not January 1 of 2013. That would be after any possible election but would still allow people time to marry and file joint tax forms in 2013.
