You need to vote for those who will vote our interests, not those who are “hot!” He will vote for the homophobic Republican Leadership, so even if he votes “pro-gay” 100% of the time on specific legislation, he will be supporting the leadership that prevents important legislation from coming to the floor and stifling amendments that are helpful.

Also, they might put bad legislation and amendments on the floor that would never see the light of day if the house is under Democratic control.

However, he will vote for the Republican leadership that is unlikely to allow it to come to the floor. If a Democrat is occupying that seat, it means one more vote for Democratic leadership and one less for Republican leadership. I recommend voting for the leadership that will allow it to come to the floor.

It is not necessary to seek denials that the outed sheriff was having sex with the student, really just finding out if they co habited would be definitive enough, given the power imbalance. Or even easier to find out from neighbors at the time if any unnamed 17 year old looking male was living with the outed sheriff. Just ask the outed sheriff where he was living at the time and ask around of residents and landlord(s). If these charges from the outed sheriff’s sister are complete fantasy I’m sure the outed sheriff would be happy to cooperate with these sensible, basic questions. But even if this accusation is baseless the guy still seems disingenuous in the extreme. At best….
