Jarrett to speak at SLDN dinner

By on March 1, 2012

Valerie Jarrett, senior adviser to President Obama, will deliver the keynote address at Saturday’s 20th annual national dinner for the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network in D.C.

“This is the first time we have gathered for the SLDN national dinner since the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ last September, and we are honored to welcome a pivotal figure and tireless supporter of equality from the White House to celebrate this historic occasion with us,” said SLDN Executive Director Aubrey Sarvis in a statement.

Gay MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts will serve as emcee. Tickets were still available at Blade press time. Visit sldn.org/dinner2012 for more information.
