LGBT anti bulling laws, sudden change of opinion about gay marriage….hmmmm….influenced by Ricky Martin, the one who was discriminating me and who was bullying me together with his favorite female bullies on MySpace and official fan club.

More White House profiles in courage?

“Hey, I got an idea! How about we promise LGBTs WH anti-bullying efforts? Maybe that will get questions of an Executive Order to stop federal contractors from anti-LGBT discrimination out of the WH press room.”

Maybe WH politicos cynically thought this would cause LGBT voters to forget the Obama Administration’s new anti-LGBT hypocrisy on ending employment discrimination by federal contractors with an ENDA Executive Order. But they can’t fool us. We’re too stupid.

I think its good that Obama is doing this, but I think this should have been taken care of along time ago. It shouldn’t have taken a movie about bulliying coming out for him to figure this out. And I feel that it doesn’t matter what laws you have in place, because as long as you have teachers that don’t deal with the problems, it never gets solved. Plus it doesn’t help if some of the teachers are being the bully. My son is autistic, and I think I have spent more time at his school than he has because the teachers and the principal think that an apology will fix everything. Teachers and Principals like to fall back on ‘well kids will be kids and we can’t watch there every move’. So I think things should be alot tougher then they are for teachers and principals that don’t do there job for protecting all the children and should be tougher on children and there parents for allowing and being a bully.

Obama should have signed on to these efforts years ago, and yet as late as last Friday his administration was debating whether or not they wanted to support the two anti-bullying bills?? I will probably end up voting for Obama, but God knows he hasn’t done much to move equality legislation forward. In fact everything his administration tries to claim can more appropriately be credited to some other gay supportive member of Congress, like Nancy Pelosi or former Congressman Murphy of Pennsylvania. I hope Obama gets rolling on our bills after his re-election, but with the GOP in control of either or both chambers of Congress, I doubt he will get much done.
