The argument that you make is that amending the North Carolina constitution in the way proposed would hinder the ability of homosexual couples to access domestic partnership benefits through private company employers. Of course, since these are coming through private companies, the government doesn’t have a hand in affirming or denying said benefits one way or the other. If a private corporation in North Carolina, for whatever reason, chose to extend to homosexual employees the same set of benefits as to heterosexual employees, the state will still not be involved in the matter. It’ll still be between the employee, the employer, and the third party benefit provider.
The real reason that you are upset is that without a constitutional amendment you obviously intended to get a judge to overturn the existing law an Gay Marriage, with the amendment this can’t be done.
The reason you want Gay marraige legalized is that once this is accomplished you will then have access to the School system from 1st grade to High School where you can “help” confused children.
This is going on in Mass and CA, people know what is going on, that is why it was passed by such a large margin.

I AM SO TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT “GAY” MARRIAGE. THE “Carignans” ARE PLACING THEIR SELFISH NEEDS ABOVE THE NEEDS OF “Jax” – WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADOPTED BY A FATHER AND MOTHER. IN THIS SITUATION, “Jax’s” PSYCHOLOGICAL WELFARE IS IN PERIL. IT IS AN UNFAIR BURDEN ON HETEROSEXUAL TAXPAYERS TO PROVIDE HEALTH-CARE SUBSIDIES TO PEOPLE LIKE, THE “Carignans.” LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC HOMOSEXUALS HAVE BECOME “OBSESSED” WITH “GAY” MARRIAGE. “COMING OUT” IS STILL A BIG DEAL IN THE ARKANSAS/MISSISSIPPI/TENNESSEE TRI-STATE AREA. MANY YOUNG HOMOSEXUALS HAVE BEEN KICKED-OUT OF THEIR HOMES BY PARENTS. ALTHOUGH MEMPHIS HAS A “GAY&LESBIAN” COMMUNITY CENTER AND A “SAFEHOUSE” FOR THE YOUNG, MANY HOMOSEXUALS IN MY AREA ARE HOMELESS. NEGRO HOMOSEXUALS STILL FACE RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IN THE SOUTH; UNFAIR TACTICS LIKE, “CARDING,” ARE PRACTICED IN MEMPHIS’ HOMOSEXUAL NIGHTCLUBS. THESE HOMOSEXUALS – WHO ARE HOMELESS AND/OR LIVE IN CONSTANT DESPAIR – DO NOT CARE ABOUT “GAY” MARRIAGE; THEY ARE TRYING TO S-U-R-V-I-V-E. YET, LIBERAL-DEMOCRATIC HOMOSEXUALS ARE SO FILLED WITH HATE AGAINST ANYONE WHO OPPOSES THEIR “AGENDA.” OH, THE “GOOD OLD DAYS,” WHEN MALE HOMOSEXUALS ONLY LONGED FOR A GOOD TIME. THE MALE BRAIN WAS FREE TO THINK ABOUT “FUN” THINGS – NOT, POLITICAL AGENDAS.
