Capital Champions

The National Stonewall Democrats honored the service of openly-gay Congressman Barney Frank in a ceremony at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters building on Tuesday. Congressman Frank was presented with the first Barney Frank Award at the 2012 Capital Champions event. Entertainment was provided by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington’s Potomac Fever ensemble. Speakers included Jerame Davis, Ray Buckley, Congressman Andre Carson, Congressman Jared Polis, Andrew Tobias, Congressman David Cicilline, and Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin. DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz gave remarks through a video.
