There is a feeling of promise and hope mixed with undeniable skepticism after reading this article. It is very reassuring that organizations like Immigration Equality and Stop the Deportations / DOMA Project have been so steadfast in their advocacy for the Same Gender Bi-National Couples community

Special thanks most go to the real leaders of this movement including, but not limited to; Lavi Saloway and his team, Rachel Tivens and her team, Representatives, Honda, Nadler, Pelosi, and all the others in congress that have been working hard to CORRECT such a devasting WRONG......A wrong that has wreaked havoc on the lives of so many of us. We are not talking about "sneaky, harmful illegals" we are talking about great citizens of the world who just so happen to love, and are comitted to their American partner.

I know in my heart that we will soon look back upon this time of inequality and injustice in disbelief and dismay....wondering "what happened"..."how did America get it so wrong"? I have faith in the promise of a society that takes pride in it's diversity and protects the equality of ALL citizens. I would also like to send out a very special message of gratitude to all of us out here "on the front lines".....fighting for justice...fighting for FULL FEDERAL EQUALITY....and fighting for LOVE!!!

Be strong my brothers and sisters.....WE WILL PREVAIL!!!

Love, Max Brava
