Rep. Paul Ryan has an appalling voting record. Consider:

☛ Ryan received an “A” rating from the NRA.
☛ Ryan voted YES on Constitutionally defining marriage as one-man-one-woman.
☛ Ryan voted YES on banning gay adoptions in DC
☛ Ryan voted NO on enforcing against anti-gay hate crimes.
☛ Ryan voted NO on protecting free-roaming horses and burros.
☛ Ryan voted NO on four weeks of paid parental leave for federal employees.
☛ Ryan voted YES on decreasing gun waiting period from 3 days to 1 day.
☛ Ryan voted NO on strengthening the Social Security Trust Fund.

Just becuase i’m gay doesn’t mean I don’t care about the deficit, debt and economy. Ryan is a super choice.

LCR’s Clarke Cooper seems to be doing his best Rip Van Winkle imitation to find a way to heap praises on the choice of Paul Ryan as Romney’s running mate. Cooper highlights a vote Ryan cast for ENDA in 2007, then Cooper apparently dozed off for 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and woke up again in 2012 when Paul Ryan finally returned his call.

Of course while Cooper was snoozing, Ryan was busy working to prevent marriage equality, voting against the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Act and fighting to derail LCR’s signature issue, repeal of DADT. Fair-minded Clarke? That must have been one hell of a dream you were having.

From where I sit, it appears that when Paul Ryan reaches out to LGBT Americans, it’s to slap us.
