This is the first I am hearing about it. Over at my blog, I wrote about sending Carey an email and getting an auto-reply, in which she said she was on a two-month sabbatical. The community deserves to know why she is taking this sabbatical until the end of August and NGLTF should be transparent about this leave of Carey’s from movement work. She is earning nearly $250,000 according to NGLTF’s 2011 IRS 990, which is not on their site, and for that kind of money, I think we expect our leaders to show up every day and perform movement work.

Too bad the T in NGLTF does not stand for transparency. It is sorely needed at this group.

O’Malley doesn’t care whether the marriage bill is sustained or repealed. Signing it has already given him his fundraising talking point for 2016.
